Gold Discovery Tour
Ride your bike along the bush tram ways and through tunnels carved by the pioneer miners in the 1870s. You will experience the conditions that these people lived and worked in.
You will get to ride your bike underground and explore the abandoned gold mines and rusting machinery left by the miners! This 1/2 day - 3 day tour is a unique insight into the early industrial heritage of this area.
We do the one day version of of our popular Gold Discovery tour on the last Saturday of each month. However rides are available at any time for groups of two or more riders. And are easily modified to accommodate riders of all abilities.
We start and finish the 1/2 day and 1-3 day Gold Discovery Tours in Waihi at the base of the peninsula.
